A Dutch hamradio station in a bookbinding workshop
From "Arbeitskreis Amateurfunk und Telekommunikation in der Schule e.V." I bought a kit to build a DCF controlled clock. It can display UTC/LT and the date. It also shows combinations of the three by pushing the white button. In the beginning I had some difficulties in getting the thing properly going. Did not do the building job very good... After a lot of thinking and more experience in building I now have a nice clock. There was no housing with the kit. I decided to build the DCF receiver in a separate housing giving the possibility to move it around for better reception. The clock had a red led for in dictating the reception quality of the receiver. I changed that. The red led is now telling the clock is switched on. So it's glowing permanently. On the receiver there is a green led now telling how reception is, blinking regularly every second: reception ok.
